Who doesn’t love biscuits? Flakey, buttery, warm. You can go savory with bacon, egg, and cheese, or jalapeno and cheddar. A sweet moment with jams and jellies, or butter and honey. Endless possibilities 🙂
Drop biscuits are my go-to when I need my biscuit fix, but I can’t be bothered to roll out and cut dough. You simply drop the dough from your spoon straight into your pan. Super simple and high reward!

I like to freeze my butter, then grate it into my flour, baking powder, and salt. It’s much faster than cutting it with a pastry cutter or fork.
Add your buttermilk until the dough forms a lumpy batter.
Scoop with a cookie scoop or spoon into a well-buttered cast iron skillet or a sheet pan.
Bake until golden brown.
